PSCDR invites research applications on any of the following topics:
- Role of Islamic Shariah in the Services and Support of Persons with Disabilities.
- Screening, Early Identification, and Management of Common Genetic Diseases.
- Epidemiology of Childhood Disabilities (Congenital and Acquired).
- Development of Diagnostic, Screening, Assessment and Intervention Tools (including Cognitive Development, Speech and Language Development, and Other Developmental Indices (projects on a Unified Arabic Sign Language also accepted).
- Research on Diagnosis and Intervention of Autism, ADHD, and Related Behavioral Syndromes in Children and Young Adults.
- Research on Early Intervention Programs (0-3 years) for Children With or at Risk for Disabilities.
- Use of Computers and Assistive Technologies to Improve the Quality of Life for Persons with Disabilities.
- Policy Research Related to the Needs for Services and Support for Persons with Disabilities and Their Families.
- Role of Persons with Disabilities, Their Families, and Community Organizations in Services and Support to Persons with Disabilities.
- Evaluation of Fiscal and Economic Issues in Research on Disabilities.
How to Apply
Research applications are welcome from both researchers and students working on their Master’s or Doctoral degrees. Application forms can be obtained in English by contacting the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research, P.O. Box 94682, Riyadh 11614, Saudi Arabia or through the Research Proposal Coordinator at 488-4401 Ext. 172. Applicants are requested to submit their proposals electronically to research@pscdr.org.sa or to PSCDR’s address on CD/diskette, Attention to: Research Proposal Coordinator.
