The aim of this project is to develop a comprehensive system of standards and assessment for daycare centers that are based on international models and best professional practices.

Summary
The system developed assesses the administrative, financial, human resources, quality of services, and facilities of the daycare centers. It is a product of several processes that were conducted which include: visiting and observing daycare centers, performing needs assessment; training employees from the Ministry of Social Affairs; and piloting and revising the tool based on feedback. Ultimately, the project will introduce an assessment manual and a training module to be adopted by daycare centers in the Kingdom.
