The aim of this project is to Arabize assessment tools and develop remediation programs in the field of learning disabilities.

Summary
Hidden disabilities, which include learning disability (LD), constitute the largest prevalence of all disabilities. To address the growing need for support and services to persons with LD, coupled with the lack of professional materials in Arabic, the PSCDR and the Center for Child Evaluation and Teaching (CCET) are collaborating to Arabize early identification and assessment tools, intervention programs, and awareness materials. The project also plans to conduct training in the field of special education needs, learning disabilities, and language and literacy.
Our collaborators for this project are the Center for Child Evaluation and Teaching (CCET, Kuwait), the University of Surrey (United Kingdom), and the Institute of Community Inclusion, University of Massachusetts (Boston, Massachusetts, USA). These collaborators encompass a group of professionals in various fields with a track record of developing assessment instruments that assesses skills and cognitive abilities. The other partner for this project is the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia.
