Introduction
To meet our goal in developing current and future disability researchers, we bring together a talented pool of professionals who possess extensive research experience to serve as mentors for young scholars. Their mentorship helps perpetuate a culture of scientific research at the highest level. Additionally, through a diverse and complimentary annual academic and training program, the Center provides both new and seasoned professionals the opportunity to connect with disability research outcomes through dissemination and training activities. These include the Center’s sponsorship of lecture series, workshops, and international conferences. The Center also acknowledges the effective role that different media outlets play in the dissemination of research outcomes. Hence, we continuously utilize media outlets (i.e., television, newspapers, and radio) to inform the general public regarding disability research outcomes.
