Lecture on Importance of Genetic Counseling

Genetic counseling is a communication process which deals with the occurrence or risk of occurrence of a genetic disorder in a family. This process involves an attempt by one or more appropriately trained persons to help the individual or their family.

The lecture aims to:

  • Demonstrate the importance of the Genetic counseling.
  • Promote an awareness of the importance of the psycho-social impact of human genetic technology amongst patients, health and social care professionals, and the wider society.
